Dr. Catharine ("Catie") Jackson
Dr. Jackson and her husband Kenneth joined Ballantyne Presbyterian Church in the fall of 2000. Catie has music degrees from the Peabody Conservatory of Music, the University of South Carolina, and the University of Iowa. Catie & Kenneth have seven children and are passionate about adoption and pursuing truth, goodness, and beauty in all things.
Jacob was born in Bogota, Colombia and was adopted when he was a baby. He grew up in western Maryland in the city of Cumberland. Jacob received a bachelor’s degree in Biblical and Religious Studies from Grove City College in 2017. Now he is attending Reformed Theological Seminary for his Master’s of Divinity and wants to become a chaplain in the Navy.
Miss Aimee Jobe
Aimee received her Business Accounting degree from Anderson University in SC and her Masters in Accounting from Wake Forest (CPA License expected in 2019). Aimee has known the Lord her whole life and says of our church, “It is such a blessing to have such strong Biblical preaching, and to be able to sing hymns that magnify the Lord. I especially enjoy participating in the choir and having fellowship with everyone at BPC - coming back has felt like coming home.”
Christie grew up at nearby Crowders Mountain in Gastonia, NC. In 1996, she received her BS degree in Psychology from Appalachian State University, and in 1998 moved to Charlotte where she met Rob. They were married in 2002 and she worked in Human Resources until their children Trey and Anna were born. Christie has served in several roles at BPC and is currently the Administrative Assistant to the Minister and nursery scheduler.
Phoebe grew up in Marietta, Georgia and attended Reinhardt University where she received a degree in Music Education. After college she moved to Fairhope, Alabama, where she worked as a Youth Assistant at Eastern Shore Presbyterian Church. She moved to Charlotte in August to begin studying at RTS.
Bobby was born and raised in Asheville, NC. He attended NC State where he received a B.S. in Environmental Science. He and his wife, Annie, were married in 2016. Then Bobby began the Master of Divinity program at Reformed Theological Seminary in 2017.
Marilyn Spencer joined Ballantyne Presbyterian in 2003 and serves as the church's Treasurer. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Colgate University and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and IRS Enrolled Agent. She is married to Jake and the mother of two young children.
