We firmly believe that everyone needs to hear the good news of salvation through Jesus. We are therefore committed to sharing that good news with our families, friends, neighbors, work colleagues, and anyone else who is willing to listen. We’re blessed to be part of the Ballantyne community, and we want to minister to that community with words of life and acts of love.
BPC’s Outreach Committee serves the church by encouraging and equipping members to share the good news effectively. The committee is also responsible for planning outreach events, for ensuring that visitors to our church receive a warm welcome, and for raising awareness of the church and its ministries in the local community.
Please contact Mike Etheridge if you have questions about outreach and evangelism at BPC.
The first Sunday of each month is Outreach Sunday. During the Sunday School hour, we hold a worship service at the Pavilion Health Center, nearly next door to BPC. One of the men in our congregation leads the service and preaches, and or youth make it a regular habit of coming to worship alongside and encourage those who reside at the Pavilion. Any and all adults are welcome to attend as well. For our evening Worship service, we relocate one more building down the road to the Brightmore Retirement Community for a regular evening worship service. This is a wonderful time to get to know our neighbors and share the love of Christ with them.
We are committed to showing the love of Christ by caring for the poor, the needy, and the friendless in our congregation, community, and city. Our church currently maintains partnerships with Love in the Name of Christ, the Men’s Shelter of Charlotte, and the Pregnancy Resource Center of Charlotte.
